Instagram Diaries: Apartment Edition

It is time for yet another edition of Instagram Dairies! This time I am taking you behind the scenes at my recent trip to IKEA for some apartment furniture shopping. All it took was a little (okay a lot) of stress, money, and five hours of my free time to accomplish this task in its entirety. And now my house is flooded with a ridiculous amount of boxes that have things that need to be built inside of them! My dad is definitely looking forward to being handy man on move in day. Hope you caught the sarcasm there, because I’m pretty sure no one is too thrilled about this — other than me of course. I am so ready for move in day in a little over two weeks.

I would also like to say who knew someone could be so excited about a couch? Forget about spending money on new clothing — I am all about pimping out my apartment now. You will see below that I have a picture of a couch, yes it is red, just keep in mind that mine will be black. God knows a red couch would get filthy in no time at all. I also found the mirror of my dreams while I was there — I almost fainted I was so excited. It’s safe to say all of the other shoppers in the store thought I had lost my mind (or didn’t have one to begin with) since I was constantly mumbling and ranting about how things had to match perfectly or how I didn’t think the “feng shui” was working. Because I’m obviously an interior designer… But hey I can’t help I want everything to be as close to perfect as possible. I’m just so anxious to share more with you all when the day actually comes! Here’s to hoping the next two weeks flyby.

Yours Truly,
Lomax
