I believe that typical introductions are quite dreadful, I’d rather not just tell you my name, my job, and a select few of my hobbies; I’d prefer to really tell you about myself. So let’s see what magic I can work… Hey there I’m Lauren Maxwell. I enjoy nicknames like Lo or Lomax but please refrain from calling me a giraffe, I am not 12 feet tall nor do I have a ridiculously long neck. Why do I say this? Well because I am 5′11″, which being a girl is rather quite tall, so you can imagine all the wonderful names I have acquired over the years.

Which then brings me to my occupation, I’m a model. When I say model I mean a fashion model, I get the chance to travel and live in amazing cities, going on castings every week, hopefully booking jobs while being shot by photographers and walking in runway shows. It’s very stressful and hectic, but in the end it’s what I love and couldn’t imagine my life without. Being surrounded by fashion I have grown to have quite a love for it, and my room is actually a pretty good representation of that. It’s covered with numerous magazines and fashion inspiration collages.

Apart from my strong desire to live my life everyday through fashion, I’m a very peculiar girl. One second I’m freaking out about my new pair of heels and the next I am running around a basketball court with my best guy friends. I’ve never been the kind of girl to cry over a broken nail, give me a football and I will play football and try my hardest to beat any guy on the field. I’m not a huge activist when it comes to girls and equal rights, but don’t tell me that I’m not as good as you at something just because I’m a girl.

I value brains and knowledge. I don’t care how cool you may think you are in high school, it’s more important to me that you can prosper in the real world. That’s really how I am as a person, I appear one way to the world but when people take the time to really understand who I am as a human being they hopefully can see that I’m not just a pretty face, but that I have substance. That is why I started this blog, I am free spoken and enjoy expressing my opinions about the world. Throughout this experience I will be sharing my thoughts about fashion, the world, and my life. I hope that my stories and opinions can enlighten and entertain, I can’t wait to see what comes out of it.
