The Surreal Life

I had the absolute must unreal week ever.

It really is hard to describe, I have been wanting to write up a new blog post all week long but I have been so full of stories I really don’t know where to begin.

I’m just going to be as basic as I can, seeing as I am now a traveler. By traveler I mean I’m going to the Hamptons this weekend! But let me tell the story of my week and how it lead up to where I am now.

I flew out to New York City to model for the summer last Sunday, it is now Friday. So technically I haven’t even been here for a week but I can safely say it has been an incredible experience so far. I’ve been very busy all week with casting after casting, my poor feet and legs now hate me. But it’s nice being in a large city where everything is really easy to reach by just hopping on the subway or going for a nice stroll just to catch some fresh air. Except for the day of incredible rain that I experienced two days ago the weather has been completely perfect. It’s such a nice change of pace from the fuming heat of Arizona.

My roommate is such a sweetheart, she has already made me feel so welcome and I can tell that it will be such a pleasure spending time with her this summer. As for friends I already had out here, I have been with them almost everyday. We go to dinners and go out afterwards and dance and enjoy ourselves. It’s seriously so surreal on so many levels just going out and “partying” with all of these people. Back in Arizona people just have house parties and do the same thing just about every time they party, which I really get tired of and don’t care too much for. But out here it’s like an entirely different world. There are so many different kinds of people you see and meet every night, I feel like I will be so bored when I go back home. I’m not writing this to be offensive in any way, or to try to sound like my life is just beyond fabulous, I mean I’m actually still in awe of the fact that I get to do things like this.

Basically that all leads up to what I’m doing this weekend. One of my good friends Ellington is taking me and a bunch of friends up to the Hamptons for the weekend. I have lots of expectations and ideas about what the Hamptons is like. I have read lots about it in magazines, and seen Vh1 shows that talk about the filthy rich people that live there. So I will have to write about it afterwards to share my take on it! I still can’t believe I get the chance to do all of this, I’m so lucky for all of my opportunities right now. I will start sharing on here more often! But I’m off to go celebrate my birthday this weekend, so ciao and I will share pictures when I’m back!

Yours Truly,
Lomax
